Fungus attacks all grasses to various degrees. Sharp mowers are a good defense because torn blades allow fungus to penetrate and take hold. Adequate fertilizer that promotes strong, healthy grass is another good defense. But an observant owner is the best defense. Pay attention to your yard. Look for clues.
