I’m a house stalker
I live in the historic district of my town, near Chicago, Illinois. I don't live in an historic home but I love to soak up the scenery all around me. I'm what you might call a house stalker, I LOVE to just take walks or drive around and take in all the beautiful historic homes around us. I'm sharing a few of my favorites...
THIS is my most FAVORITE house ever in town...and I drove over there just for you guys...LOL...so you could see it and OMIGOSH it is for SALE!! I could never in a million years buy it but just the dreaming for a moment made me woozy! I just love the pale yellow color and the stone edged raised flower bed is so pretty~I'm in love with the giant porch w/part of it screened in is just to die for~~ and the tower is sooo beautiful, it sits up on a hill and overlooks the whole neighborhod. Without further adieu...I give you...My fave house of all time in my neighborhood
And I wouldn't be the house stalker I am without sharing a few more of my faves...
(The thing I love love love about this one is the porch with the bentwood accents, isn't that sooo cool? and to think those arch pieces were probably hand turned and then bent by hand when the house was built~I'm guessing the turn of the century)
This one is about 1/2 block from my house, I love the porch & in the summer they usually have giant ferns hanging in pots from the ceiling of the porch
This one isn't a "painted lady" but I love it anyway, I think the style is tudor but it's all stone & brick. If you look closely you can see a dog in the front window watching me take the picture~ROFL!
