Done for now…
Well after 2 long weekends of landscaping, we are finally done for this year. I am proud to say we did the whole project including mulching around 80% of our house and planting a few new shrubs and one new tree for under $200! Please see my post about going green for details on how this was accomplished. We were going to plant a lot more plants and things but we decided to keep it simple. Since we kill most everything we plant it is probably best that way. Other items included in our landscaping project was power washing our driveway, front sidewalk and the sidewalk/porch in front of our house. To top things off I had to leave for work at 6:15am this morning because for some reason one of our fiber links to our main control room in the auditorium decided to turn itself off. I am still investigating the root cause of the problem but nonetheless it was a really annoying way to start off the day!
