Back on track
I have continued with the track laying today, and also made a start at introducing some contours. The double track mainline is now in place through the tunnel under the inclines. I needed to do these first because they would be impossible to lay once the landscaping starts.
With the help of a hot melt glue gun I have stuck the tunnel portal in place and roughed out the start of the hillside with a lattice of cardboard.
This view shows how the hillside will be cut away in the foreground to accommodate the two tracks at the wharf side.
A wider view of the trackwork and hillside. Nothing is wired up as yet though.
Looking the otherway towards where the upper level will emerge from another tunnel and cross the viaduct.
